Life was not easy for Petey the octopus. For weeks, a great white shark had turned the waters around him into a place of constant fear, leaving Petey exhausted and always looking over his shoulder. Day after day, he longed for peace and began to believe that the only way to truly escape was to leave the ocean behind.
Petey had heard stories about a magical boxfish named Mr. Squaresworth, who could create mysterious bubbles that allowed sea creatures to imagine themselves as anything they wished to be. Petey searched for months until approaching his Presence one day they greeted each other.
When Petey gazed into one of Mr. Squaresworth’s bubbles, he imagined himself as a beautiful peacock. In an instant, his wish came true. He grew brilliant feathers and wings and suddenly rose out of the ocean into the open sky.
He brought along his closest friends clownfish and seahorses who were given bright monarch butterfly wings of their own. Together, they drifted into the clouds to begin a new life, far away from the fear they had known for so long.
For the first time, Petey and his friends were no longer running from danger.
They were finally free.
